downtown, please see the preamble that IR sent to me regarding the twitter BS. It's almost identical, but email to IR wasn't as politically correct as yours. I recommended that along with JT et al they should fire the marketing crew as well! LOL

Regulatory restrictions significantly limit the content of what we can communicate in promotional messaging. In the space of twitter communications there is not enough room for the required fair balance (e.g. details of product label including required disclosures regarding safety). As a result, our choice regarding social media is that we can either do nothing or provide informational messaging via twitter or other media which avoid making product efficacy claims. We have opted for the latter. This approach has been advised by our experienced internal personnel and by consultants who are expert in this area. Any and all such promotional materials are shared with and reviewed by the FDA. You may have seen our television commercials for VASCEPA, despite a safety profile for VASCEPA which many physicians would argue is better than the safety profile of aspirin in treating high risk patients, in a sixty second television commercial nearly thirty seconds were required (based on FDA feedback) to cover safety. There is no way to effectively cover all of that information via twitter.
