I moved to Bellevue WA in May of '80 to take a job. Two weeks after I arrived Mt. Saint Helen's blew. I figured it was time to call on the Spokane part of my sales territory.

So I flew there and drove my rental car though about an inch of ash coating everything like a light fluffy snowfall.

Interesting timing for my relocation, I thought.

Anyway the next 5 years that I lived there proved uneventful.

AK an OR were part of my territory. I viewed it as traveling from one National Park to another.

Blackhawks had a minor league team in Portland. Why couldn't they or Seattle land an NHL team?
