a few things misunderstood in your post but the sentiment is right

YEs hydrogen is a fuel and can be used like kerosene, propane and natural gas but for transportation it isn't since it isn't burned for combustion. it uses chemistry to generate electricity which is so clean and less maintenance ultimately they do all provide propulsion though.

Your costs and so on are good but ignore two interesting factors that dictate the sweet spot for each approach, and Apple may be shifting the battery car to a better position using the single cell QS battery (15min 80% charge , smaller etc) by 2025.

Until hydrogen is available everywhere - like i "popped out" to fill up my ICE vehicle last night it isn't a fuel for regular personal transportation. Shoot EVs aren't really except Tesla but the chinese are coming and the chargers getting more popular but at home charging will not happen in a hydrogen space.

For distribution and shipping though Hydrogen fuel cells have battery beat by a long way. larger tanks offer longer rides, much less weight means more cargo shipped, faster refill means more productive drivers (no change from current diesel). and hydrogen is already available at over 100 sites in the US with many more coming based at distribution centers across the country. Waiting for Pilot or Flying J to announce a plan with PLUG for installing Hydrogen nationwide.

not a lot of this applies to FCEL though, apart from large H2 production at ports and may be providing the electricity for more EV charging in cities via micro grids.
