YEP! Also read that article and found plausibility within the first few paragraphs, where stated;

While most of the rest of the automotive industry is adopting electricity as the fuel of an emissions-free tomorrow, Toyota continues to claim that hydrogen is going to be the way forward. Or at least a large part of the way.

“Toyota is committed to fuel cell vehicles as a part of our future,” said Cynthia Tenhouse, Toyota’s vice president of vehicle marketing.

And WHY NOT! I mean like, Natural Gas, Propane and Kerosene (Among other sources) are all USED for the SAME PURPOSE! (Technically speaking) are they not?!

Thus all meeting the Needs of all sorts of End-Users and thus ALL Profitable accordingly! (Price Tag Driven, Of Course!)

Therefore, (Likewise) who says that "Electric Vehicles" would be the ONLY MEANS of Vehicle Transportation!

Ironically, it all comes down to the average End-User's affordability! >>>That said, one can expect the current (Comparatively MORE Affordable) "Gasoline powered Vehicles" to be in use for quite some time, given the far greater number of end-users who aren't born with silver spoons in their mouths!

Nevertheless, all of this will change for the better as the manufacturing COSTS of EV's and HFCV's continues to become more affordable for the average end-user!

But while the up-front costs of EV's are Cheaper than the HFCV's, (On average) , the HFCV has lower operating cost and faster to refuel.

As for distance traveled on a full tank (Or charge), the Top-EV's has the Top-HFCV's beat!

However, the HFCV's yet would overtake the EV's in total distance driven due to the EV's refuel time being 30mins to a few hours while the HFCV's refuels time is about 5 minutes or less!

but then again, it's all up to the POCKETS of the End-Users!
