My problem is seeing similar statements on other diseases, I won't say they weren't believed true at the time, but after trials, the improvement, if any, was not sufficient to pursue approval.

CVM has had a history of making such statements and raising funds to support its operations, and trials. The FDA will permit companies to operate in this manner as long as they've shown their products safe, which CVM has done. They don't judge whether it can be effective until after the trials are run.

I hope their cure has found it's disease, my point is that they've tried this many times on other diseases, the cure has not been changed in decades, only the disease being targeted.
