Obviously you recognize the reality that "tesla made millionaires".

The fact that it "helped create more demand" is what the consumers wanted and needed and not manipulation or lack of proof.

I don't agree with you that the popularity of its stock to be as negative and being manipulative. We know the goal is good and serving the larger good of society. All good companies want to create products that are wanted and needed. Consumers want good and useful, and functional products. By large people like Tesla, Inc. and what they see.

"So a stock shoots almost straight up for no real reason..."? I think your assessment is wrong. No real reason? Stocks look for what's the future promise. Tesla, Inc. is doing that quite well. People are willing to take risks for a real reason- they are seeing the promise and believe the leadership and the company.

Your inability to see how good is the reason? I think it is your own personal challenge to see it. Your energy is placed mostly in criticism of details.

We do know millions of people around the world are already betting on it with their own money.

And, you seem to want to ignore and contradict them. Millions of people around the world like the visionary leader Elon Musk... and also see some of the results, already, on the road.

You are entitled to your opinion. But you should know by now that you are among the few doubting. Are you aware that millions of people (investors/non-investors) do not agree with you? Sadly, the reality of Tesla, Inc. success so far appears wasted on you I feel you come across as one that is unimpressed and full of doubt from your posts.
