Correction: A vote on the reverse split doesn’t necessarily adjust the authorized shares. Although I’ve normally seen where both the r/s for the outstanding shares and changes to the authorized share count are adjusted accordingly in the proxy.

In any event, shareholders would be aware of how many authorized shares the company would have before approving the r/s.
