I had evaluated Dells 3000 series laptop to the 5000 series and realized just how much more computational power the 5000 had over the 3000. The 11th gen I7 INTC chip in the 5000 clobbers the 10th gen I7 chip in the 3000. That combined with 4.3GHZ compared to 3.7GHZ clock speed and faster bus speeds, larger cache- 12 as compared to 8, faster memory speed- 3200ghz compared to 2666ghz, it was clearly a no brainer. ( which was very good for me considering my lack in that area )
So Novembers black Friday sale saw me purchasing 2 of these INTC/Dell monsters for my computing needs.
So much for AMD and TSM.
Further the fact that they both sported the same price ( though Dell came back at me and suggested if I buy the inferior product they'll discount it off the black Friday price by 7% ).
Nanometers being important to smaller devices and other applications, but in this particular instance more than adequate as compared to the INTC 3rd Gen I5's I'm replacing.
