Totally safe unless you get the PFE vaccine - on top of the patients that had severe allergic reactions in the P3 trial two healthcare workers had severe reactions yesterday, needed meds to reverse anaphylactic shock - epi, benadryl, and in one case steroids - those nurses going into group homes to vaccinate the elderly are going to have to carry a small pharmacy with them _and_ be trained on what meds to use based on the patient's reaction. MRNA's nearly identical vaccine, which got a 20-0 positive Adcom vote today, has caused zero of those reactions, just four cases of Bell's palsy (PFE caused 4 cases too) - MRNA uses slightly different lipid technology that allows it to be stored at regular freezer temps, not the -70 C PFE's requires, and that diff must be big enough that it doesn't stimulate the immune system freak out.
