“FFLYA, three Decades in the Making.
In December 1990, ASI embarked on the development of the worlds first cabin terminal delivering inflight passenger satellite messaging services for QANTAS. The program would evolve to included, inflight sales and e-commerce programmes such as, Interflora flowers from the sky. The system would ultimately be installed across the QANTAS Boeing 747-400 fleet.
Three decades on, in the midst of a global pandemic, ASI’s factory was shutdown for 8 months. To ensure the success of the program, ASI relocated manufacturing and certification to the UK. As a result, in December 2020, ASI delivered the worlds first Part21 approved installation data package for fflya. Our ultra low cost Bluetooth Iridium based, inflight free passenger connectivity solution and interactive e-commerce platform, specifically designed for Low-cost airlines.
With the first A320/321 installation kit due later this month, in 2021 the Bluetooth revolution will finally begin. Watch this space.”
