Yes, the response was rather lengthy and didn't provide much. To defend management by saying they are frequebtky praised is curious.

The bit about not looking back at decisions is as well. In most companies people are judged by what they have done in the immediate past. Few would get away defending themselves by saying lets look to the future. The idea is that the past may predict the future from a performance perspective. But I guess we aren't supposed to think that.

Another curious semantic is "new reality". I'm not sure what that is to mean but it might be akin to not looking backwards. We screwed up but forget that.
