A question for ronning and others...
I've been reading these boards now for quite a while and there are a couple of things I truly don't understand. I'm in no way trying to be confrontational to anyone here, so if it comes across that way, my apologies. But I have to ask.
For the record I am a small shareholder in UCOI and I don't believe in blind faith. My personal opinion is that, the bottom line is, this is a penny/sub penny stock. Many people cram messages boards all day long, every day feeding into eachothers hype about a stock, a company, that ultimately falls short of everyones hopes. I've been in this industry quite some time and see it all the time, people getting overexcited about a penny stock, with all sorts of facts, and stats about the company....all sorts of possibilities "if" this or that happens, and with very convincing logic. I've almost bought into the hype myself many times! In close to 9 years in the industry, I've felt the heat of the hype on a penny many many times (remember CMKM/CMKX?) and I can't think of even once when such a stock shot to the moon or even to the lowest branch on the tree outside. But...that being said...I am a shareholder...but a small one...and one just happy to double my money. I'm still invested, but my intution tells me this one will fall away with the rest. And believe me, I know how it is when you're caught up in the "right now" and everything seems so good, so positive. In that moment, to hear anything negative your first response it defense and thoughts of "you just wait and see, I'll bet once this *insert some event* happens this thing's gonna fly." ....hopefully this time you're right...but doubtfully.
Anyhow, my question to ronning is: What is your purpose here? I know, I know....several people will accuse you of being a "paid basher?" (you gotta be kidding me) or whatever, but seriously, why are you here? Why on earth would you waste even one second of your time coming to a message board for a company that you do not believe in and exchange in constant banter back and forth with people who disagree with you? I have to question why you even come back. Why not just scoff and say "Ah well, they'll see once it's all said and done." and move on to more important things in life. I'm just curious why anyone would troll message boards just to throw verbal darts at peoples hopes. I mean even if you're right in the end, do you really think all these people will come back and post that you were right? They probably won't post at all.
For everyone else....You do realize this message board is one of hundreds and hundreds with people that have the same slant on a company in the same way you do with this one, right? So my real question is, with the current shape of this company and it's history, why is that you believe so strongly in something magical happening here? Please don't disect my words, I'm just asking because I'm generally curious. So again, what is it about this company that any of you have thoughts that this could go to $1.00?? $3.00?? I hope you're right! I just want to know what makes you and your hopes different than all those past stocks that have had their message boards beseiged with people laying out all kinds of ifs and speculation based on minimal information. Again, remeber CMKM/CMKX? There's plenty plenty others, I only mention that one because it was more notable than most....so please....engage...
