Howdy, been there. I'm not one of the savvy folks who post here... but I have seen that message on my Lenovo laptop with Win7.
It was a hardware problem that I foolishly ignored.
Kaboom went the hard drive and I lost everything.
Took two weeks to get the hard drive replaced and system restored.
(Hint: do not go to Staples.)

Based on my experience, if I were you I'd find someone who can do a system back up for you (to an external hard drive), replace the hard drive, and have them do the restoration. I can't remember how many warnings I got before the blue screen of death appeared. It might be prudent to stay off your machine while you find help.

Hope those who are more knowledgeable than I will jump in here.
