Why is the AVXL stock price at $4.80?

For the same reasons that it has been in the $3 to $6 range for a long time.

It is a new and still unproven approach to treatment of CNS diseases. There still has not been a full release of data from a controlled trial. There is no revenue stream. At present there is only one drug even remotely close to an NDA. The MOA is radically different from anything previously attempted. The failure rate for AD and CNS drugs is extremely high.

All of those things are subject to change and they haven't changed yet.
