Hi BWIS-

This is my wife’s account. I can’t remember my login and honestly I find this site has become mostly a waste of time. However, I still read it from time to time to see what a select few are saying. I am all in, I still buy every two weeks. I have a ton of shares. I’ve done my homework and I don’t care what the seventh iteration of a carpenter’s iHub account has to say about it. So that guy and all of the other jokers can save the time and not bother telling me I need to diversify. This is my money and nobody else’s and I’ll do what I want with it.

I did want to post to let people know what’s happening when they see a bunch of same quantity shares hitting over and over.

If a trader with institutional software wants to trade a large chunk but spread it out throughout the day, we use algorithms to do so. I, for instance, use twap and vwap quite often for clientele, along with others. TWAP spreads your total quantity throughout a specified time frame and buys or sells in specified chunks to fill your whole order.

Here’s an example of how we could keep seeing 200 shares hit. If I am trying to buy 100k shares over 6 hours and I want it done in 200 share increments, the software says well, I have 360 minutes so I have to buy 277.7778 shares every minute to get to the quantity he wants. He told me to buy in 200 share lots so now I’ll have to buy that amount every 43.2 seconds. Now that algorithm is about as simple as it gets. Add in price flow and a target price and volume and it may pop off 200 shares over and over in a 10 second span. Anyway, I see lots of talk about “MMs” doing this or that and that’s not what’s happening.

Although I am happy with the trend we find ourselves in, fridays have been weak for us for many months now. I expect to be down today and restart the uptrend on Monday.

I still post on Twitter a lot and talk to a few oldies.

Take care

TC
