Amazing, Apple has gone completely generic with respect to materials with their recent patents. in this hinge patent, they refer to "spring metal", "spring metal sheet", "thin flexible meter" capable of bending many times...all in this one patent. It seems clear that Apple no longer "owns" LQMT materials from this broad language they use to describe what would likely be BMG. Years ago they used the specific term "Liquidmetal" in patents, then made it more broad using terms like "metallic glass" or "amorphous metal". Then started using the more generic term "memory metal". And now using the term "spring metal".
What the hell is "spring metal"? We know what it is :)
