I actually like the analogy.
Have the Republicans not evolved, but devolved, if that is a word, into a culture of primates equivalent to, not chimpanzees, but baboons.
When it comes to primate culture we always think of Jane Goodall and her studies of champanzees for the National Geogrpahic magazine that actually, although I suppose it could be debated, from keeping it from going under.
Baboon culture, on the other hand, is so weird, maybe the National Geographic is hesitant to deal with it for fear of losing readership, or viewership on its TV channel.
Baboon troupes are large enough that the entire troupe is able to gather enough caloires in three hours to live comfortably for the other nine hours of sunlight in a twelve hour day.
So what do they for other nine hours?
Basically what they do is torture each other in order to maintain the heirarchy.
And if anything, I can figure after all these 68 years of being alive on this planet in a country with a federal legislature, and watching these Baboonist Rebublican legistators do all day is to figure out ways to torture the members of the troupe, while we higher order primates have to deal with the consequences....
