Exactly. There are no retail shorts in penny land. MM are there to create a market, and they make money when stocks go up/down. But sometimes when a stock is super hot like ENZC, they are short shares because they needed to create a market. So it's not like these mm intend to short a particular stock, they just find themselves in that position. When they do or are in need to cover, there are certain tricks of the trade in order for them to get the stock to move in the direction they need it to. It's like a football bookie who takes bets, and everyone is on one side of the football game, it's obvious who he is rooting for. But with penny stocks, when this massive imbalance starts to happen, the mm can often create panic which in turn makes people sell. And then they can cover at a lower price.
