I believe that is the temp the vaccine must be stored at. ENZC is NOT a vaccine but for this drill lets get into why -94 storage could be a major obstacle. My background is Biotech and we produced a product, back in the day, where the biologics we sold (in this case cadaver bone) was stored at required temps close to -90 degrees. This also meant that the surgical office had to purchase a special refrigeration unit to store the cadaver bone since its storage temp was far lower vs a regular freezer which was the norm in surgical offices that utilized frozen products. This added cost was not well received by our clients. Back to the procedure.... Once the surgeon removed the bone from the freezer, it was then transferred to a water bath, heated up, became moldable, and transferred via syringe, to the patient. (This also meant another cost of a water bath) The set up time (how long the surgeon had to deliver, and form the bone to fit the site, was less than 2 minutes or it would harden and be useless.) We then developed a product where the cadaver bone was a powder mixed with water, and then delivered to the site. This product needed no special refrigeration storage, just a shelf at room temperature to store it. The efficacy with the new product was equal to to frozen product. Overnight this made our original 'frozen biologics' obsolete! Trust me when I tell you that the added cost, time to set up, and storage concerns, was no bueno. Just my two cents. GLTA
