Windows 10 is back to crappy updates(at least for me)

It deleted my premium Malwarebytes which I've had for nearly 20 years over various machines. It won't let me access or turn on file history so no restore, etc. In order to do so I have to set up a cloud account which is no bueno(not gonna happen) or purchase another external drive. Who knows what else I'll run into? JEEBUS what's wrong with these people?
