The chart. Most traders who have had any sort of success use charting as a guide in their decisions, whether they admit it or not.

Even if people don't believe in technical trading and charts, so many others use it as a roadmap that it really becomes a self-fulfilling prophesy IMO. Not always perfect though. I took a starter position here way too early based on my reading of and only looking at the chart.
