Ramsey and all, RE: Launch Pad
I really don't see what the big deal is. This is a simple dialog box that gives the user a window to access all their Wave services. It also has a utility to update their software via webserver connection. No offense, but what's the big deal? Companies like Symantec, Microsoft, etc have all had "auto updates" and "check for updates" built into their contact management software, operating systems, websites, etc for a while now. I would expect nothing less from Wave in this matter and am merely pleased to see they are doing a seemingly thorough job to communicate with the customer at a software level.
