Thoughts on the 200 mil naked short shares. I think thats what Les stated back in 2015
I believe that the shorts had knowledge that the trial was going to go on for at least the next 3 years. So the shorts knew they had that long to cover those 200 mill naked shorts. Thats a very long time in biotech world.
Without validating I believe it was in 2018 that the stock ran up a to a dollar in a couple days on 50 million shares traded. Not sure the numbers. But it was short covering which I mistaked for the trial coming to an end.
Anyway my point is that back in 2015 there might have been 200 mill naked short.
I believe most covered ...but because of the shorts hubris they couldnt stand watching the stock price run up and they did not reach their goal of covering all naked shares.
And by the way these are not actually short traders. They are financial employees hired by the current companies selling the current standard of care.
Anyway if its 20 mill 50 mill or 100 mill naked it does not matter. Big pharma money suceeded in its goal of slowing adoption of new technology.
Be proud that were visionaries. Thanks to all the special board members over so many years
