If M&A talks are legit, and a merger is only contingent on share price/structure change, I see no reason why an official announcement can't be made in conjunction with an 8K filing that contains the contract/agreement and contingencies/requirements Verus must meet in order for the transaction to go through. I'm not an M&A specialist but that's my perspective. "Wish" may be a better word than perspective here.

I am 99.9% sure this will not happen and that they will carry out the R/S without any concrete proof that an M&A is going to occur and can easily envision them stating something like "The M&As did not work out because they would not immediately provide revenues...blah blah blah." I reserve the .1% for a surprise.
