Agreed, but on many more points:

1) inevitably, medical requires highly polished material
2) inevitably, anti-bacterial
3) a field where innovation is constant
4) new designs for new equipment allow for the ejection angle taper
5) development and commercialization is inherently slower
6) both 4 and 5 will restrict entry of competition.
7) once in place, will allow a near monopoly of market
8) anti-magnetic features reign supreme

Ditto, dental, although a bit less so, due being less invasive for most products

On the other hand, the volume of auto, inherently, requires smaller margins to even get the foot in the door. some overlap with instrumentation and controls may apply.

As far as industrial, the future looks bright for instrument controls, IMHO, where miniaturization is king, esp. gears and diaphrams and pressure sensitive actuations.

Goin after CE after Apple crippled LQMT in 2010 has always been a real blunder for LQMT. Still is.

Just my humble opinion.
