Legendary geologist David Lowell stated that As and Hg are typically found in copper and gold mining deposits. These contaminants make for a ‘dirty concentrate,’ which requires costly processing to make it safe after being mined and require careful, life-time storage on or off-site.
Most Cu and Au mines around the world have these burdensome contaminants.
Pebble does not have these types of contaminants and so is considered by Mr. Lowell as the source of a ‘clean concentrate.’
Since Pebble will be mining a ‘clean concentrate,’ it will not have the additional cost of separating out and storing or removing these contaminates from the mining and processing site. This was clearly stated or emphasized in the short summaries taken from the NAK FEIS which we have seen.
This information adds a cost-saving advantage to the Pebble mine over other mine deposits and should be reflected in the stock price. Also, it eliminates concerns about these contaminants entering the environment during and after mining is closed.
Who knows, Pebble could end up being as long-lived as the Homestead mine in South Dakota, but more valuable due to the future demands for its currently, ‘known surface mineral’ deposits and its location in a politically stable country.
If earlier indications are correct, deeper mineral deposits, detected in core samples, may have a higher value than those on the surface which are now being used to value this huge mineral deposit.
This is probably why Mr. Lowell has also stated that underground mining may also be necessary as well as open-pit mining to exploit the full value of this mine.
$2 or $5 or even $14 per share at this point in time? Are you insane?
The US Government and maybe Alaska are going to ensure the cost of building this mine and may even provide ALL the money from the $60 Billion set aside for this type development. Some other mines in Alaska and in the lower 48 states may also be included as recipients from this fund.
Who knows, the ACOE may get the contract to build the mine. This will help to counter the Chinese promoted/funded law suits and criminal acts which will be directed against the construction of this and other critical mines in the US.
DoD connected projects will get a lot more support than 'NAKED' public corporations and physical protection.
Some large mining partnership will be aided by the Treasury in securing funds needed to buy the stock and that is why NAK management should hold out for a FAIR price.
You know my estimates and they are reasonable since the risk will be low for the buyer(s).
This stock is a real ‘Gold Mine!’ Ha Ha
Good Luck Everyone.
