Saw this on another thread: "Academic studies show that trades go wrong about 51.5% of the time. That is, stocks that are bought tend to lag; stocks that are sold tend to outperform. Or "The More You Trade, The More You Lose."'

Have no idea of the validity or veracity of the poster's statement (and he or she offered no links to support), however, I did find that it made me think...

I can confirm, none-the-less, from personal experience, that this part seems especially true in my world <grrrr> "stocks that are sold tend to outperform"
