This is all beside the point. You do not have to have 100% scientific theory to make supportable decisions.

A quick story: A long time ago my father, a scientist, was an expert witness in a patent dispute. Opposing counsel tried the 100% certainty trap question. His answer was "I risk my life every day driving to work on things I am less sure of. " That is the real standard. Opposing counsel shut up.
