Correct a trade secret is/can be more advantageous than patent. A patent discloses the “How” which potential competitors can use to devise workarounds. Trade secret not so much. The classic trade secret example (which I’ve stated previously) is the Coke-a-Cola formula. Also a trade secret that should be familiar to Atlanta area residents (Ex).
