Copied from another site: One of the longs on the StockTwits feed apparently called Ron Thiessen this evening and had a long chat with him about what's going on with mitigation.

Apparently the hold up is on the Army Corps and government side at this point. But they are definitely on track to meet the November 18th deadline for submission.

It does sound like once things are submitted it's as good as done, but again... It's pretty much in the hands of Dunleavy's govt at this point and the regulators.

I suspect there are some within the Army Corps who may not want to move forward until we figure out what this Executive Order is all about. It could massively change the scenario for all parties involved if the federal government and DOD want to get involved.

Ron did mention that have had no calls or communication back and fourth with the federal government nor the DOD about this. The EO takes effect on Oct 30th. The Mitigation deadline is the 18th. It sounds like we may see action closer to the end of this deadline than sooner, but again after the EO... Big things may be happening as they work on CoRA/404 Water Permit/Record of Decision.

I'm not sure we will be having the same kind of conversation by this time next month folks. Less than 2 weeks from now, the DOD could very well be taking over from the Army Corps on this project.

It's not exactly a secret that Pebble has several of the key rare earth minerals and metals that the executive order is calling for securing domestic sources of. Just this one mine could secure our military dominance for the next great war.

I think the buyout price just went waaaaaay up. I think majors may be literally told to mine Pebble and the PENTAGON will pay for the infrastructure. It's hard to fathom this... But that's what we are looking at happening if Trump wins this election.

Rod will come whether or not Trump wins. Dunleavy is making sure of that.
