Yes, it does make you wonder what doors will be opening. I like what RobinX said in this regard.

"I believe the “preventive” statements are in regards to hyper-inflammation and thus treatment of cytokine storm. Even if Lenz may not be tied to Covid “prevention”, it’s still huge in regards to all the disease states that lead to hyper-inflammation... and there are unfortunately limitless. It’s too early to say this, but I’ll put it out there anyways, the off-label use alone will make a dramatic shift when it comes to ICU practice using it. This will be such a beautiful tool in the oncology world, allowing us to be daring with other medications that may lead to hyper-inflammation and then we have Lenz to cover at the back end!"

Limitless disease states that lead to hyper-inflammation, AND usage as a preventative when other medications are used that themselves could lead to hyper-inflammation.

And what a pressure-reliever this could be for ICU doctors who aren't initially sure of what they're dealing with with new patients. Start them on a bag of lenz while they figure out what's going on.

And what about hyper-inflammation that ISN'T necessarily caused by disease? Take wound care, for example. Or shock, such as neurogenic shock. How many traumas may trigger a hyper immune response leading to hyper-inflammation?
