Who are various parties going to believe, an unknown CEO of an unknown start-up drug company, who might benefit by selectively presenting only favorable clinical trial data? Or the science authors of a peer-reviewed medical journal article?

Readers here know the authors of postings on the former. Will be a lot harder to convince message board readers that Drs. This, Thus, and So presented fabricated, wrong, or inaccurate data in a recognized, peer-reviewed medical journal. Incontrovertible.
