03:54 PM EDT, 10/08/2020 (MT Newswires) -- Cannabis stocks were in the green on Thursday following Democratic VP candidate Kamala Harris' statement that a Joe Biden administration would support the decriminalization of marijuana and marijuana use convictions.

"Under a Biden-Harris administration, we will decriminalize the use of marijuana and automatically expunge all marijuana-use convictions and end incarceration for drug use alone," Harris stated.

Tilray (TLRY) was up 19%, Cronos was up 9%, Canopy Growth(CGC) rose 14%, Aphria(APHA) was up 11% and Aurora Cannabis(ACB) was up 11%.
