I'm personally at 200 Mbit/s - and 'you can run 4- 5 number of streaming services and internet telephones etc. simultaneously :)

PS. You are absolutely right that hardwired after Router is better (less sensible to interference and faster than WIFI) - so computer room I'm sitting in right now has 3 ethernet cables from router - some 20 meter away. Cat5 cables - should be changed to Cat6 for highest speed - but 100 Mbit works fine for me so far :)
