I just had a daughter loosing her job today cause of Covid layoffs - so that filled the day.

True Ground (actually floating) has cheated millions of people in modern technics around the world. In my pro career as a field engineer for NCR - I had one instance where the Office was placed some 30 feet from the water where fishing boats laid in harbor - and still the ground in office were no good.

Take a simple multimeter and measure the voltage from frame to radiator (something you believe is grounded). Black pole to 'ground' - red to frame of computer. If there is a voltage to be measured here (beyond something in millivolts) - you need 'deeper ground spears'.
