The 1st amendment says nothing about whether the person you are speaking to has academic or professional credentials the 1st amendment protects your right to tell non-fraudulent information and that is the right they won in the case.

Unless Amarin was stupid enough to sign a settlement with the FDA where they agreed to restrict themselves to marketing to doctors only... which if so is yet another reason the management should be fired.
