PURE SPECULATION!
But Mr Chan appeared to be gearing up towards something significant.

1st thought that came to mind when I read the news was a buyout that required the debt to be cleared.

2nd thought was a few big deals coming that will pay Mr Chan dividends long term.

Just my thoughts.
