However, the link I provided did say that some of these planes are flown away. Naturally the window coverings are removed and whatever else Needs to be attended to, I never meant to imply that that a stockpiled plane was just boarded and flown away. But I can see that I left that impression.
Even a hangared plane is not just boarded and flown without a thorough preflight check out with needed repairs being made, and then preflight checked again.
However, things stored in an equipment boneyard are, or at least can be, put back into service, without too much effort.
The ball mill is not a seriously complicated piece of machinery and looks to be fairly easy to put into service. I don't believe anyone would deny that PT is good with equipment and working with his hands. If he wants to put the mill into service, it shouldn't be a problem for him.
The objection about it having been sitting too long are laughable.
