US stock futures tumbled Monday, echoing similar losses in other world markets as the rising number of COVID-19 infections worldwide stoked fears of fresh restrictions on activity and a hard-hitting news report claimed the world's biggest banks had been facilitating the movement of illicit funds for nearly two decades despite red flags.
Dow Jones Industrial Average futures fell 0.7%, S&P futures declined 1.7% and Nasdaq futures slumped 1.7% recently.
A weekend report from Buzzfeed, citing leaked documents filed with the US Department of Treasury's Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FinCEN), said several global banks continued doing business with customers despite suspicion of wrongdoing.
In the US, the recent death of Supreme Court Associate Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg is set to spark an intense political drama over her potential replacement.

Oil prices fell, with global benchmark Brent crude and US West Texas Intermediate both down nearly 2% recently, ahead of the impending return of oil output in Libya.
