I disagree with that -- the double-blinded controlled trials proved, IMO, that the ActiPatch works at least a little bit -- it reduced the pain scale number a couple of points more than the placebo.

It didn't remove pain completely -- it reduced the pain scale number. A couple of points.

But if it's scientifically true that it doesn't work at all on 30% of people -- if that isn't just some number pulled out of a monkey's, er, hat -- then the ActiPatch is kind of a joke.

That means there must be degrees of effectiveness -- if 30% of all people get zero benefit, it must work slightly better in some people, a lot better in others....

All I know is, I wore it 24 hours for two weeks on my shoulder and it did nothing. Really uncomfortable to wear that long too. I tried it again recently on tennis elbow that I re-aggravated from painting, and while it was easier to keep in place on the elbow with an ace bandage, it still had zero effect.

The green light still comes on. That's one good thing about the device, I guess. It really does last a long time. Yay. I also have an unused trial version..... but why bother with it?
