Notes from my June 15, 2016, conversation with VLDI CEO - Part 15

They have several (more than three) tier-two partners that are helping them gain access to tier-one businesses.

He said that they have some incredible installations that they are getting ready to announce, but they had to get the 8-k behind them first. And they have the messaging application that still needs to be announced. But for the next few weeks they are treading water, while they determine what the three Majors they are talking to want to do. They may want to buy the mobile messaging application. They may want an exclusive contract for their sector. They may want to partner with VLDI. Bruce does not seem to know which one to expect, though I would imagine he has some idea which way they are leaning. But if he does, he is not talking.

When I asked him what we should be looking for that could tell us when we can expect things to start moving forward, he told me to read the last PR, paying close attention to the statements about current and pending negotiations.

They are concentrating their efforts on maximizing secure capabilities of their application.

He is going to put out SOME information soon but do not expect to see any names.

They are doing some things this week and next that could be significant.

The Mobile Messaging is so feature rich it is actually equivalent to six different apps. It is like a Swiss Army knife. It can do peer-to-peer email, it can do mobile messaging, it can do file transfer, it can be modified for use by consumers, Enterprise, or government. It has feature sets that have never been seen before. It is an incredible marketing tool, and feature set demonstration.

The partner that designed the messaging app (Ganthet?) has their own marketing plan. They are dealing with some of the Majors on their own that are looking for secure mobile messaging and social media applications. And they will be the ones that finally decide when and how the app will be rolled out. They apparently have the right to market it under their name or via private brands.

The rollout of the messaging app will be coordinated with other things that VLDI is doing. He expects it to take 2-4 weeks for the companies they are currently negotiating with to make up their mind. Those companies have their own priorities, and it is unclear at this time what they want to do first.
