but I don't think it comes as a surprise (to the medical/science community)

I recall having a conversation with a Nurse years ago.. and she talked about patients who had high blood sugar (I recall her specifically talking about patients with diabetes) - where certain infections "fed" on the sugar..

not surprised viral infections have the tendency to do the same thing.

Probably one reason why the obese are having a particular hard time with this viren.
