So, in order to change it, that requires a constitutional amendment. Good luck with that one. Can you see the folks in the 40 smaller states voting to allow California and New York to choose the president? Remember that it takes 3/4 of the states to ratify a constitutional amendment. I think it is much more likely that you could get 3/4 of the states to ratify an amendment that imposes term limits on congress.
