Hi Chemist, although not the same process, your post reminded me of when I first started working and doing classical assays for riboflavin. Very sensitive to light and we used amber bottles and had the lights turned off in that part of the lab.

I have no knowledge as to how fast EPA is oxidized but I do know that in aqueous solution riboflavin degrades quickly.
