Thanks for checking in with me. I appreciate your thoughts.

I've been working in the back yard cutting up and clearing out dead wood from the trees that have been cut down.

The bark beetles killed trees after the long drought weakened them. Squirrels helped kill them as they stripped the bark for food. The critters are down to one.

A neighbor has promised for some time to cut up the trees for firewood but he hasn't done it. I don't want anything on the lot that can burn.

The firefighters are still working the fire as well as aircraft. It's away from my home so I think I'm safe at this time.

I'll try to check in daily.
