I have been working all day cleaning up the pine thatch and dry vegetation around my house and cutting up the big branches from a tree that fell some time ago. A neighbor wants the log but hasn't followed through to saw it into firewood.

I filled up my three green waste barrels and borrowed barrels from the neighbors who have been so helpful.

My neighbor gave me a pasta dinner his wife made. I inhaled it.

Tonight there is no orange glow on the horizon.

I'm going to shower, read a book for a short while and then hit the sack.
