The simplest way to easily get at historical stock data from yahoo. Hopefully a couple of tickers will illustrate. Once the data is downloaded as a .csv file it can be opened in Excel with no problem. You would have to add two simple cut and paste formulas from the original file. The day-to-day maintenance is adding each day after manually if you want to track it daily. Or, when there is an "event" day, re-download and repeat the formula creation. The latter would be my preferred. I did create a 5-year data file with the formulas added. I can email you.
