I think you are over analyzing the EU sales situation. Here is my entire investment thesis:
Amarin has a drug that doesn’t just slow the progression of the worlds biggest killer, it reverses it. Every country is going to want it at some price.
Currently MC is 1.6B. They have 600M in cash and make about 2M/day. Generics won’t take a significant bite out of rev for at least 6 months (another 360M in rev). So EU is being valued at about 640M with guaranteed approval just around the corner. I think Novartis (or Pfizer or Merck etc) sees more than 640M in potential in Amarin so they will be buying at a significantly higher valuation than we see today. Therefore I will hold because the stock will go up. That’s it. Too simple a view for many but that is how I decided to hold or sell. The only question is when will the value go up. I doubt any BO before Nov EU opinion so there is nothing to do except wait till Nov.
I’m tuning out from iHub, ST and all market watching until Nov 23. Just no point dwelling on day to day or trying to guess what CEO’s are thinking.
Best to you and everyone else, text you in November (unless I hear whispers from friends that something has happened).
