I use TDA as well and have experienced that same problem HD. I've worked on financial systems for a good part of my life and absolutely know there is no reason for that kind of lag. "Clearing" time is just left over BS that institutions currently use to make money on from your money. It's robbery. Stupidly, or wisely, depending on how you look at it, some financial institutions have different clearing times based on where you live. It's legacy robbery from the old days where it might have taken your check longer to get to the desired destination, usually a processing center. But 100% of it is all electronic now so they just use that old process to rape us.
