Apple's had two major design-material eras -- polycarbonate and aluminum. In each era they made nearly all their products in that material.

I like to imagine that they're about to enter their third material era. It's the right time with 5G, Apple Silicon, and Apple Glasses all coming online at around the same time.

LM would be awesome for this material. It wouldn't happen all at once. It would begin small, perhaps with Watch and maybe a little somewhere deep in an iPhone. Then in Glasses. Then in a high-end Apple Silicon Mac. As manufacturing gains its legs and prices begin to drop it could be extended further and further.

Ten years out, most of Apple's line could have significant LM components. I know of no other material with its promise.
